Bristol Ledges

Rising rather steeply from a back street in the town of Bristol, this hike includes views from a series of cliff overlooks of the town, Champaign Valley, Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. We try to hike this trail at least once every season and we always use hiking poles. When hiking in winter we also wear Kathoola micro spikes because the trail can be icy.

The entire forest floor was covered with a thick blanket of leaves that made the trail quite slippery. The hike is about 5 miles out and back (up and down, really) and the view from the ledges is stunning. 11.05.20
